Collecting Data

Contour BI allows building global data collecting systems for business and statistics. Source data is collected in text, XML, or SDMX-enabled XML  files over the Internet.

Data are stored in Contour DWH - the cross-platform data warehouse, in combination with various data collecting systems.

Contour Reporter is a "thick client" . It offers a large variety of tools and functions: formula editor, synchronous and asynchronous charting, advanced dynamic sorting, filtering top or bottom N items.

Contour Reporter can connect to either Contour DWH or any other relational databases and warehouses.

Settings made in Contour Reporter are stored in open XML repository, and reports are stored in small mobile containers caled microcubes, suitable for publishing on the Internet.

Web Publishing

Contour BIPortal visualises interactive reports on the web. Report catalogs made in Contour Reporter, are displayed as web folders with easy navigation. Interactive reports are displayed in dashboard view of Contour Digital Dashboard.

The term "thin client" means that user does not need anything but an internet browser to view reports; no browser add-ons are either required. Therefore, a reporting system made with Contour BIPortal can provide statistical and business reports to thousands of users.
